 Re: Server Info
Just a li'l more info for whoever is interested. First, thanks CT for putting this up. Basically, I'm trying to fill a niche with this server where a lively time can be had with just a few players, or a larger number of players can have a blood bath. I've put all small fast playing maps in the rotation, so players can find each other easily and get down to business. The time limit is just a tad short to add to the lively feel of the server. Some maps run bots and some don't. Not sure if players look for that or if they just want a place to practice disruptor jumps. I know there are a few players out there who like to bash bots, so there's a little of both. Antilag is enabled as is call voting and map voting. Weapon stay is also enabled which seems to liven things up, especially when people aren't familiar with how it works. Basically, the weapons do not disappear when picked up, so if two players are dashing to the same weapon both players will get one, however the weapons will not restock your ammo supply once you have it in your possession. To restock ammo you need to pick up ammo containers for that particular weapon. Ammo containers do not stay, but respawn, pretty quickly.
This is a dedicated game server running on a cable connection, not a commercial one so reliability isn't as good as the big boys. On the flip side, I update the server frequently since it's just a KVM switch away.
Jump on if yaz get a chance and lemme know what ya think.
Thanks for your attention, shell
