Any Questions? Ask the BLINDMAN!
For any who don't know, many players in the Alien Arena community use an open-source VOIP program called
Mumble for in-game voice chat. Both the client software and the server software (called
Murmur) are free and run on a variety of platforms.
However, to ensure that everyone had a stable server and a solid connection, [T3]Blindman runs a server that is open for use by entire AA community - also free to the players using it. The server is professionally hosted, so it sounds as clear as any Ventrillo or TeamSpeak server I've ever been on, even when we have lots of players on at the same time.
The server is setup with a main lobby and several sub-channels which can be used for team games.
You can either connect using the DNS address or, if that isn't working for you for some reason, you can use the IP Address. Either way, the port number is the same.
